Audience Research

The genre of my music video is heavy folk metal, therefore the audience is generally a mix of ages ranging from older teens to middle aged rockers. Eluveitie are a niche band which tends to lead to them being not very well known among popular music fans. 

Due to the nature of the music, the fan base tends to be male dominated which correlates with the rest of the bands from the genre however Eluveitie tends to attract more females than most normal heavy metal fans as there are female members in the band also. 

This is a picture taken from Eluveitie's facebook page of a range of fans that they have met

on their tour. It shows the diversity of people that are fans of this band, but also the fact that there are not many female fans. 

This is footage of the band performing earlier this year at paganfest. From this we can see the type of crowd and fans they attract and the energy that is involved in their live performances also.  

Song Choice

I have chosen the song 'Luxtos' by the folk metal band Eluveitie for my music video. 

Further Music Video Analysis

This music video involves much more of a performance aspect than the other videos that I have analised. It uses a soft focus to create an atmospheric and romantic style look at the band members. 

Chroma Keying Experiment

By using a green key, we used Chroma Keying to place a video over the top of the paper to create an interesting effect that could be used in a music video.
